General Construction
Overview:
This pathway provides a well-rounded education in construction skills including the basics of hand tools and power tools as well as building foundations, framing, drywalling, and more. Students will also create resumes, practice interview skills, gain certifications, go on job site tours, and have access to mentorships, internships, apprenticeships, and work opportunities while in high school.

- Principles of Construction (offered at the middle school level only)

- Construction Systems I (A/B) (Concurrent Enrollment with Aims AEC 1520 and AEC 1200)

- Advanced Woodworking and Carpentry (A/B) and Work-Based Learning: Construction Pathways
Industry Certifications:
Students can earn nationally recognized certifications which proves they have the skills employers need and can lead to employment opportunities not otherwise available.

Free College Credits:
Our partnership with Aims Community College creates opportunities for students to earn high school credit and college credit at the same time through concurrent enrollment.
