General Construction

Overview:

This pathway provides a well-rounded education in construction skills including the basics of hand tools and power tools as well as building foundations, framing, drywalling, and more. Students will also create resumes, practice interview skills, gain certifications, go on job site tours, and have access to mentorships, internships, apprenticeships, and work opportunities while in high school.

    • Principles of Construction (offered at the middle school level only)
  • Level 2
    • Construction Technology (A/B) (ACC Concurrent Enrollment with CAR 1000, CAR 1001, CAR 1002, CAR 1005, & CAR 1070)
  • Level 3
    • Construction Systems I (A/B) (ACC Concurrent Enrollment AEC 1520 & AEC 1200)
  • Level 4
    • Advanced Woodworking & Carpentry (A/B) and Work-Based Learning: Construction Pathways
 

Concurrent Enrollment:

Our partnership with Aims Community College creates opportunities for students to earn high school credit and college credit at the same time through concurrent enrollment.

Students can earn nationally recognized certifications which proves they have the skills employers need and can lead to employment opportunities not otherwise available.
