College & Career Pathways

Weld RE-5J School District is dedicated to preparing students for success in both college and careers by offering comprehensive exposure to career options and pathways from preschool through post-secondary education. Each student develops a four-year academic and career plan tailored to their interests and aptitudes. The district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pathways provide hands-on, real-world learning experiences that prepare students for a variety of futures, including college, trade school, apprenticeships, and industry certifications. These programs, which span elementary through high school, integrate academic and technical skills aligned with high-demand industries. Weld RE-5J partners with educational institutions and industry leaders to ensure its CTE programs meet workforce needs, offer equitable access, and are led by certified instructors. At Roosevelt High School, students can choose from 14 different CTE pathways, while the Middle School Exploratory program allows younger students to explore various options and discover their passions. Collaboration between middle and high school teachers and their shared Advisory Boards ensures that students receive high-quality, aligned CTE instruction, supported by strong partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
