Weld RE-5J District Policies

The Weld RE-5J Board of Education reviews proposed policy updates as part of its commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. These policies are being carefully considered to ensure alignment with district goals, legal requirements, and the best interests of our students, staff, and community. The Board of Education may adopt policies at its regular Board Meetings and will be in effect pending formal codification in the complete district policy manual.

Proposed New Board Policy – Student Use of Cell Phones and Personal Technology Devices (Policy JICJ)
The Weld RE-5J Board of Education introduced proposed Policy JICJ, regarding student use of cell phones and other personal technology devices, during its regular meeting on May 6, 2026. This policy is being presented as a new Board policy and is currently available for public review. The Board is scheduled to consider the policy for final reading and possible adoption at its May 20, 2026, meeting.
