Elementary EdCamp

🎃 Always Learning! 👩‍🏫👻

Today’s Elementary EdCamp was a powerful example of educators learning with and from each other. Designed by 5J staff, for 5J staff, the sessions were built directly from survey feedback—ensuring every topic was relevant, responsive, and focused on student success.

And since it’s Halloween, we had plenty of festive flair to go along with the professional growth! 🧙‍♀️🕸️🧛‍♂️

Celebrating Learning: SmartLab Ribbon Cutting

“Here our students will have that chance to code, design, and dream to see that science, technology, engineering, and math are not just subjects in schools but are keys to understanding and shaping the world around them.” -Nate Sassano, Weld RE-5J Board of Education Vice President

“This is a space where you can ask questions, wonder together, and imagine new solutions. The opportunities you have here to plan, to create, to communicate, will help prepare you to thrive and compete in an ever changing world.” -Scott Nielsen, Superintendent of Schools

Thank you to our partners, SmartLab Learning and Weld Trust, for helping make this happen and investing in our students’ learning!

Want to know more about the SmartLab?  On National STEM Day in November, our next 5J Faces of Impact will be about our K-5 STEM educators and opportunities for students across all our elementary schools.

Upcoming Events

Our kids are both at Roosevelt now, and have had a wonderful experience. The teachers care, the administration is wonderful, and the experience has been great. There are so many opportunities for a student to complete advanced placement courses, dual enrollment courses, or career education. Our kids will be ready for life after high school, whether that’s at a university, community college, or in the workforce. No one is overlooked or left behind at Roosevelt.
